Terms of Service for Law Firm

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the legal services provided by Lauriston Law Firm (“the Firm”), located at 955 South Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale Florida 33316 and any associated services or communications provided by the Firm. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our services.

 

1. Engagement of Services:

  • By engaging our services, you agree that an attorney-client relationship is established between you and the Firm.
  • The scope of legal services to be provided will be outlined in a separate engagement agreement.

2. Confidentiality:

  • The Firm will maintain the confidentiality of all information provided by you, in accordance with applicable laws and ethical standards.
  • Communications between you and the Firm are privileged and protected by attorney-client privilege.

3. Conflict of Interest:

  • The Firm will conduct a conflict check before accepting representation to ensure no conflicts exist.
  • In the event of a conflict, the Firm may be unable to represent you or may withdraw representation

4. Fees and Billing:

  • Fees for legal services will be outlined in the engagement agreement.
  • You agree to pay all fees and expenses associated with the services provided by the Firm, as outlined in the engagement agreement.
  • Payment terms will be specified in the engagement agreement.

5. Termination:

  • Either party may terminate the attorney-client relationship upon written notice.
  • Upon termination, you agree to pay for all services rendered up to the date of termination.

6. Intellectual Property:

  • All materials provided by the Firm, including documents, templates, and advice, are the intellectual property of the Firm.
  • You may only use these materials for the purposes outlined in the engagement agreement.

7. Disclaimer:

  • The information provided by the Firm is for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal advice.
  • The Firm makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of any information provided.

8. Jurisdiction:

  • These Terms and the attorney-client relationship shall be governed by the laws of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
  • Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Broward County, Florida.

9. Amendment:

  • The Firm reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any amendments will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or providing notice to you.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Firm regarding the legal services provided.
